Thomas Josceyln details the formation of a new opposition group, Tahrir al-Sham, that is made up of al-Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate Jabhat Fatah al-Sham and other hardline Islamist opposition groups. The group is led by Abu Jaber, the former head of Ahrar al-Sham. An extremely important read considering Ahrar al-Sham and Jabhat Fatah al-Sham’s recent clashes.
